Operations Directors
Hi! My name is Alex Gerber (she/her), and I’m a third year student studying biomedical engineering with a minor in Spanish. I’m a Co-Operations Director for AMASE. AMASE has provided a great experience for me to engage with the Northwestern and greater Evanston community. The highlight of my time has been weekly lessons with my student. It’s wonderful to watch their progress and to have the opportunity to see their enthusiasm for learning. AMASE brings together a wonderful group of NU volunteers, dedicated to providing a positive experience for their students, and it also allows me to continue to pursue my own musical interests while teaching others. I'm looking forward to getting to play a greater role in managing AMASE this year and meeting more of our fantastic families and volunteers. A fun fact about me is that one of my favorite hobbies is ceramics.

Hi! I'm Winnie Wang and I am a sophomore majoring in Psychology and Human Development in Context. I am super excited to be one of the Curriculum Directors for the upcoming year! My favorite part of AMASE is getting to know the kids and seeing them grow during their time here. It's really nice to hear about their lives and also be a part of it once a week, and being able to provide them with music education is such a rewarding process. A fun fact about me is that I can solve a Rubik's pyramid but not a cube.

Media Director
Hi! My name is Zach Long and I am super excited to be the Media Director for AMASE this upcoming year (I will also be filling in as a Curriculum Director for Spring Quarter)! I am first year student and a Chemistry major with a minor in Mathematics. Being involved in AMASE has been one of the highlights of my time at Northwestern so far and I love seeing how proud all students are of themselves at recital! A fun fact about me is that I have climbed 10 14ers (mountains over 14,000 feet).
